"THE PITCH":

"It’s never easy to funnel together what to expect from spending a night listening to a DREW FERRARO performance.   He slips from genre to genre, innovating with open tunings, cross-picking, and finger-style guitar playing, that deftly accompanies an experienced and smooth vocal style, compared to the flavors of Dan Fogelberg, Gordon Lightfoot, Don McLean, and even Elvis.

DREW FERRARO has shared these warm, intense and intimate performances of songwriting and stylized cover-tunes with audiences for nearly 40 years, at all types of stages and venues across the country, including Equity Theater and an acoustic set at a Woodstock Reunion on the original site.  His intense delivery & humor has been praised by many; and his clear, concise, and warm vocal qualities have been declared to "...pull on every heart string there is." (Taconic Press, 1990)."

HOW I SEE IT:

"To me, music is a profound and spiritual experince; it has to be. But it is also an inherant sense of "Community", and clearly becomes part-and-parcel of our lives. Without an audience, a performer does not exist.  "Technician", yes.  "Performer", no.

I learned to release the music within from the inside-out, through listening and hearing down to the heart and soul, often through the physical and whole-mind & body practices of yoga, acting, and athletics, through the spiritual journey of life and death, and through the love of the dynamics of life, love, pain, joy, and the skill of telling a story - & living it every single time.  In this way only, is the exchange of gifts between a performer and an audience that manifests itself on a plane we can only vainly try to describe."

ALONG THE ROAD - OPPORTUNITIES DO ARISE......

Last summer was the CD release of BENCHMARK; cordially hosted at  & by the TIM NOAH THUMBNAIL THEATER (backed by the amazing "Altogether Band").  And it was wonderful.  Laid-back and cozy.   A lovely night all the way around!

Thank you, Snohomish!

In the spare moments (I know you've heard of those.....), I am doing sound engineering and volunteering at the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, in Snohomish, WA - whose Friday Night Open Mic is probably the best in the Puget Sound & beyond; come check it out!      [*Thumbnailtheater.com]

BIG UPDATES:

Finally!   Mike Daily, at his Studio O Four, & I finished my  (first, full) CD production, "BENCHMARK"   got it mastered by the fabulously talented, Chris Hanzsek of Hanzsek Audio, and it's back from the manufacturer & distributor, CD BABY!

**You can click here for: my CDBABY website for purchase & downloads.  There are more electronic downloads in process; like iTunes, Amazon MP3, 24/7, Google Music Store, and others.

This is an album to be proud of.   But as the title [vaguely] implies, this is just the first effort.  I expect even bigger things, moving forward - and that is saying something considerable!

*And now it comes time to RETURN TO THE STUDIO for effort #2:  "LANDMARK".  Many more originals, along with some surprises and , to be sure, the creative and impressive guitar-skills of friend and fellow Singer-Songwriter, Bill Pfleging in the mix!   With Cameos by more...

So,...........More later!!!!
